Members of the Georgetown community should respect the intellectual property rights of others and take steps to preserve the intellectual property rights of Georgetown as they use AI tools. Third party intellectual property, particularly third party information subject to confidentiality obligations, should not be used with AI tools without the permission of the third party owner or agreement with the AI tool vendor that appropriately protects the third party intellectual property. Users of AI tools should also take similar steps to protect Georgetown intellectual property.
